Remember this, you don’t have to wait for a referral or for all permanent teeth to be in place to visit us. A lot of problems can be solved with an early evaluation by an orthodontic specialist, usually as early as age 8. We have also helped countless patients control thumb-sucking and have provided corrective therapy for bad habits that impact oral health.

An orthodontic evaluation is also important before any implant work is performed in order to straighten teeth and make space for the new pieces.

Many insurance plans cover braces and corrective procedures. We work with the majority of insurance plans. We evaluate your dental insurance to make sure you get the maximum out of your benefits. Any outstanding costs can be broken down into affordable monthly payments.
Children
A lot of spacing, alignment and orthodontic problems can be detected and solved early with an evaluation by a specialist, ideally before all permanent teeth have come in. You don’t have to wait for a referral either. Experts agree that by age 8 an evaluation is the key to prevent most bite, alignment and spacing problems.
Teens
Braces are our specialty and the most important thing about them is that they solve a lot more than alignment problems. They provide confidence at a time when your child needs it most. Help them, they will appreciate it.
Adults
Braces aren’t for teens anymore. A lot of problems can be avoided at any stage in life. We offer in-depth evaluation and have the experience and referral network to coordinate adjunctive treatments with other specialists.
Dr. Irene Banuchi lives to set things straight. Her love for dentistry began in High School when she spent a couple of summers working in a dental practice. She studied pre-dental at Boston University and Orthodontics at the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico. For 7 years she ran her own dental practice and then she went on to specialize in Orthodontics at the University of Puerto Rico. For more than 25 years she has been evaluating, recommending and solving complex dental problems for all age ranges, from helping children with thumb issues, teens and adults that want to look and feel better about themselves. She’s also been on TV to talk about malocclusions, something she would love to help you with.
